Welcome
Oaklands Nursery is a long-established Local Authority nursery school, which offers families accessible, affordable and high quality education and childcare for children aged 2 – 4 years. We also provide baby/toddler groups in our community room.
We offer the following provision (term-time only):
2 year old room
Open 9.00am to 12.00pm daily (maximum 15 hours available), minimum 2 morning sessions
3 and 4 year old room
Open 9.00 am to 3.30pm daily (maximum 32.5 hours available).
We do ask that you do the same days/hours each week and give us notice if you plan to change as we have to organise the appropriate number of staff to meet ratios

About Us
The well qualified and experienced staff at Oaklands provide well planned, innovative and exciting activities centred around the children’s interests and specific needs to move children’s learning forward. A qualified teacher works with all the children and oversees planning and assessment.
We provide a warm, caring environment where children are safe and happy.
The provision is broad and balanced, covering all areas of learning in Early Years Foundation Stage and includes Forest Schools and a very large open plan purpose-built nursery room - we also have a fantastic outdoor area including a mud kitchen, an outdoor classroom, a sand pit and gardening area. We provide an environment where children develop confidence, independence, self-esteem and a love of learning and we aim to ensure that every child is happy and reaches their full potential.
