3 and 4 Year Olds (Mighty Oaks)
The nursery is a large open plan space with an exciting and innovative outdoor area. The well-equipped nursery enables children to access all areas of learning through exciting and innovative resources and activities.
The outdoor area consisting of a covered area, woodland, areas for large physical development, mud pit, sand pit and gardening area, is available to the children at all times providing a wide range of learning opportunities including Forest Schools.
The highly qualified and experienced staff plan exciting and innovative activities based on their thorough knowledge of the children’s stage of development and interests.
The children have a key worker who is the main person who cares for them and is with them at group times in their key worker area. They are your main point of contact for anything you want to know.
We observe children's innovation, their creativity, their ideas, their intents and feelings and we do this on their birthday and half birthday in accordance with the developmental milestones. The insight that we gain enables us to discuss, reflect and plan our environment to support and shape future learning. The observations and assessments that we make are called "spotlights" and we share children's progress with parents.
