• End of year picnic - Acorns room only

  We are holding our annual end of year picnic on Wednesday 16th July at 11.30 am.
  We would like to invite you to bring a packed lunch and join us.
  If your child does not usually attend on a Wednesday then feel free to come along anyway.
  Afternoon children can come in earlier (an adult needs to stay with them until 12)
  Morning children need to be collected at 11.30 so an adult can stay with them for the picnic.
  All day children, if possible we would love it if a family member could come and join them 11.30 - 12.00 for the picnic.
  Weather permitting we will be in the back garden so feel free to bring a picnic blanket or camping chair if you have them (we already have some blankets and benches)

• Summer Sing a long - Mighty Oaks room only

  Please find attached the details of the summer sing a long event which celebrates the achievements of the children for this last academic year / term and says a fond farewell to those leaving us. We would be thrilled if any of you could attend! 

   

  If you cannot make this however, there are events on all week in nursery w/c 7.7.2025 which you are welcome to drop into: 

   

  Monday 7th - photographer reminder - and outdoor day with mud walks and pies and a teddy bears picnic

  Tuesday 8th - crazy hair day

  Wednesday 9th - popstar day - the summer sing a long

  Thursday 10th - pyjama and cinema day

  Friday 11th - Beach party day and the ice cream van is arriving at 1145 am until 1pm. 

   

  As always the staff are grateful for your constant support and welcome you to attend anytime.

• Forest Tots

  We are excited to announce our new Forest Tots sessions suitable for children aged 18 months to 4 years, starting after February half-term.

   

  Every Wednesday afternoon 1:30-3pm

   

  Bring your little ones for relaxed and friendly weekly wildlife adventures!

   

  All children must be accompanied by an adult and wear suitable outdoor clothing.

   

  £2 per session- includes drink and snack

• Open Days

  At  Oaklands Nursery School we will have more 30 hours places available for 2, 3 & 4 year old children with a valid code from September 2025. We are holding an Open Day on:

  Wednesday 12th March

  Visit times:

  10am to 11am,

  or 1.30pm to 2.30pm

  or 4.30pm to 6pm

   

  We have another Open Day on Saturday 7th June 10am-12pm

   

  There's no need to book, just call in on any of the dates/time above.

  We would love to see you there!

  Thank you to parents and staff for your generous contributions towards our Christmas hampers. We had a fantastic response and received enough donations to make up 6 amazing hampers! :
  - a traditional hamper (food and drink)
  - 3 x children's hampers
  - 1 men's hamper
  - 1 pamper hamper
  
  Winners will be drawn next week - details to follow. All money raised will be used towards resources/enrichment activities for the children to use in nursery.

• Christmas jumper day - Friday 13th

  A cause so very close to so many of us.
  
  Children are welcome to wear their Christmas jumper, top, dress hat etc but it is not compulsory.
  Donations will be taken on the gate if you are able to contribute.
