Dental hygiene and dummy/bottle use

All children have now completed their dental hygiene, discussion and demonstration session in Nursery. We know when we should brush our teeth, what is a good brushing technique and how to keep our teeth and bodies healthy using healthy snacks and eating less salt and sugar.

You are now in receipt of your toothbrush challenge for home and this can be returned in a month's time, when you have brushed every morning and every afternoon, where you will be awarded your super star brushing certificate! Good luck everyone.

The common themes in children when discussing this topic, became Dummy use and still using baby bottles for drinks or as soothers. Please find attached relevant links to information on how this affects dental health and advice on how to go about using a cup instead. Myself and the Key workers in Nursery are also on hand to support you with this, should you need it.
